Q.:  What does ‘IQAC’ mean?

Ans.: ‘IQAC’ means Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).

Q.: What is the date of inception of IQAC, UAP?

Ans.: July 01, 2015.

Q.: What are the objectives of IQAC, UAP?

Ans.: To improve quality of teaching, learning , assessment, research  and overall quality atUAP 

Q: What are the activities done by IQAC at UAP?

Ans.: Workshops, seminars, conferences, peer review, SAC meetings, surveys, monitoring, evaluating and reporting.

Q.: How are the UAP students benefited by IQAC, UAP?

Ans.: Students are directly benefited by modern teaching-learning process; their needs were identified and being addressed through self-assessment process.

Q.: How is the UAP benefited by IQAC, UAP?  

The outcome-based education (OBE) model has been adopted in teaching-learning-assessment process. Faculty members are now paying more attention on developing soft skills of the graduates.

Industry-academia advisory boards have been formed in some departments to take the input of the industry professionals in redesigning the curriculum, and industry-academia linkage for job placements.

Alumni associations have already been formed in some departments and are going to be in place in other departments.

Q.: What is Self-Assessment Committee (SAC)?

Ans.: SAC means Self-Assessment Committee at the Department level to conduct self-assessment exercise within the department.  At present there are 8 Self-Assessment Committees from 8 entities of UAP which are consists of 3 experienced and qualified faculty members from each departments.  

Q.: What is QAC?

Ans.: QAC means Quality Assurance Committee. The committee is set up by the university authority for institutional oversight of IQAC.

Q.: Who is the Head of IQAC, UAP? 

Ans.: The Head of IQAC, UAP is Director, IQAC, UAP.

Q.: What is Peer Review?

Ans.: Peer Review means the evaluation of self-assessment exercise of the deapartment by other External experts, who are working in the same field.
