  • The Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Uap has been awarded the grade “Very Good” by the External Peer Review Team consisting of international and local education experts to evaluate the quality of degree awarding programs of any universities of Bangladesh. This event of assessment is facilitated and monitored by the University Grant Commission of Bangladesh under the Higher Education Quality Enhancement Program (HEQEP). It is also a matter of pride that all departments of UAP that are offering Bachelor degrees also been awarded the grade of “Very Good”.

  • Bulbul Khan Monna, graduated in Fall 17 has a patent application in process based on his work titled “Development of Functionalities for Smart Phone and Power Share”. He presented and published a paper on the Development of Functionalities for Smart Phone and Power Share in 4th International Conference on Green Computing and Engineering Technologies (ICGCET), August 2018, Aalborg University, Denmark.
  • Homeyra Akter, graduated in Fall 17, received the prestigious Monbukagakusho Scholarship in 2019 for pursuing Master’s study at the University of Rhykyus, Japan.
  • S. M. Tanjilur Rahman, graduated in Fall 17 joined KJS Ltd., Japan as a software engineer in 2019.

2nd runner-up position in HACKATHON

A team consisting of department students - Imran Nazir, Rafat Jamader Maraz, Nahid ddin Ahammed, and Anauruzzaman was placed 2nd runner-up position in HACKATHON competition organized by Dept. of ICT, Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) April 2019 Dhaka.

ICT Startup Program, Finalist:
Mohammad Messbah Uddin, Rakib Hasan, Towfique Ahmed have participated in a program named "Student to start up" arranged by ICT division and Young Bangla. The purpose of this event is to find excellent project ideas from potential students and help those students to build their project by providing funding, office spaces and mentorship. 40 venues were selected nationwide where workshops and pitching took place. From each venue 3 teams are selected and a sum total of 120 teams are invited to the national camp. From there top thirty teams will get assistance from ICT division and young bangla in building their project and top ten teams will get upto 10lakh taka funding for their project. The teams are to stay three days in the camp starting in 14th May. 


From CSE department of UAP, our team is selected for the final round. Our project is called BDCases. It a step towards digitalising the judiciary system of Bangladesh.  All the members of our team is from fourth year second semester (Section B).
