UAP organizes Certificate Awarding Ceremony of the 5th batch of ILTS
UAP organized the 5th batch of ILTS (Improving Learning & Teaching Skills) from March 21 to April 07, 2019. The 36-hour-long faculty development program was spearheaded by honorable Pro-VC Prof. Dr. M. R. Kabir and facilitated by Md. Sazzadur Rahman, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Sisili Rahman, and Samira Sahel, Lecturers, Department of Business Administration.
A total of 20 faculty members participated in this workshop. The resource persons of the program were namely- Honorable Vice-Chancellor National Prof. Dr. Jamilur Reza Choudhury, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr. M. R. Kabir, Prof. Dr. Abu Sayeed Mostaque Ahmed, Professor Dr. M. Mozahar Ali, Director, Graduate Training Institute, Bangladesh Agricultural University, and Ms. Parveen S. Huda, Managing Director, Renaissance Consultants Ltd. Upon completion of the program, certificates were awarded to the participants on May 05, 2019, by the chief guest of the ceremony, Honorable Chairman of BOT, UAP Mr. Monzoor Ahmed Chowdhury. Professors, heads, and former participants of ILTS from different departments were present in the ceremony.
Certificate Awarding Ceremony of ILTS Batch IV
The certificate awarding ceremony of the 4th batch of Improving Learning and Teaching Skills (ILTS) was held at VC’s Conference Room, UAP on Nov. 11, 2018. Mr. Monzoor Ahmed Chowdhury, Chairman, BOT addressed the ceremony as Chief Guest while National Professor Dr. Jamilur Reza Choudhury, Vice-Chancellor, UAP presided the session. In the program, Dr. Choudhury distributed the certificate of completion among the participants. The key resource person and chief coordinator of ILTS, Professor Dr. M. R. Kabir, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, UAP delivered his welcome speech. In his speech, he talked about the background of ILTS and mentioned the successful participation of the faculties and the resource persons. S.M. Rumman Mashrur, Lecturer, Dept of Architecture & Tamanna Sharmin Kabir, Lecturer, Dept. of English shared their experience as participants of ILTS 4th batch. Prof. Dr. Mizanur Rahman, Head, Dept. of Civil Engineering talked about how ILTS has played role in improving the teaching skill of the trained teachers of his department.
Dr. Nehreen Majed, Associate Prof. Civil, shared her thoughts about the program. Abdul Mohin Chowdhury, Member, BOT, Sarwar R Chowdhury, Registrar, Professors, and Heads of different departments also graced the ceremony with their presence. However, in order to develop effective teaching strategies, the course was designed and coordinated by Professor Dr. M. R. Kabir, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, UAP and facilitated by Md. Sazzadur Rahman, Assistant Professor, EEE, Sisili Rahman, Lecturer, DBA.
ILTS program begins at UAP
A faculty training program titled “Improving Learning Teaching Skills (ILTS)” – for the 4th batch began on 25th September and will continue till 4th October 2018. Faculty members from different departments are the participants in this training program.
ILTS, a faculty development program at UAP which is designed and conducted by Professor Dr. M. R. Kabir, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, UAP and facilitated by Md. Sazzadur Rahman, Assistant Professor, Department of EEE, and Ms. Sisili Rahman, Lecturer, Department of Business Administration.

The certificate awarding ceremony for the 3rd batch of Improving Learning and Teaching Skills (ILTS) was held at the Seminar Room of the Department of Business Administration (DBA) on April 10, 2018. Prof. Dr. Jamilur Reza Choudhury, Vice-Chancellor, UAP, distributed the certificates among the participants as Chief Guest while C. M. Shafi Sami, Member, Board of Trustees (BOT) attended as Special Guest.
Prof. Dr. M. R. Kabir, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, UAP was one of the resource persons and Chief Coordinator of this program while Md. Sazzadur Rahman, Samira Sahel, and Sisili Rahman were in charge of facilitating this intensive course. Dr. Kabir delivered his welcome speech at the outset of the program. Some of the other faculty members also shared their thoughts about the program. Among others, Sarwar R. Chowdhury, Registrar, and Heads in different departments attended the ceremony.

Professor Dr. M. R. Kabir, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, UAP was one of the resource persons and the chief coordinator of this program delivered his welcome speech. In his speech, he talked about the background of ILTS and mentioned the successful participation of faculties that have made the program a grand success. He wished to continue this intensive course for the betterment of newly appointed faculty members in the future. Some of the faculty members also shared their thoughts about the long program. Among others, Air Commodore (Retd.) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, Treasurer, Sarwar R Chowdhury, Registrar, and Heads in different departments were attended.

University of Asia Pacific (UAP) accorded newly appointed faculty members, Fall 2016 following a daylong Workshop and Orientation on October 24, 2016. Professor Jamilur Reza Choudhury, Vice-Chancellor, UAP addressed the program as Chief Guest. In his speech, he suggested the faculties to uphold quality education and disseminate knowledge among the students.
In the program, Professor M. R. Kabir, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, UAP, Air Cdre (Retd.) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, Treasurer, Mr. Sarwar Razzaq Chowdhury, Registrar, and Md. Abdul Latif, IT Operations discussed their respective topics. "Teaching is not a job, it's a responsibility. So you have to care about your strategic plan of teaching" commented to the new faculty members by Pro VC M. R. Kabir while addressing the program on "Quality in Education"
