Academic Awards and MedalsFrom Spring 2015 to Spring 2017 168 students have obtained LLB (Hons.) Degree and 117 students have obtained LLM Degree from the Department. During this time total number of recipients for Dean's Award and vice-chancellors award is approximately 100. Professional acknowledgementsIn the last Bar Council enrollment exam, 32 out of 34 UAP Law Alumni get enrolled in the Bangladesh Bar Council and 13 out of 14 in the Supreme Court Bar Association. The graduates are also applauded for their involvement in various legal services and human rights activist groups with their adept professional capacities. To name a few, these are Youth for Human Rights, Nari Pokkho, Ain o Salish Kenro, Bangladesh Environmental Lawyers Association (BELA), Bangladesh Institute of Law and International Affairs (BILIA), ASA University etc. Graduates are involded in various NGOs, as legal officer in different pharmaceutical companies, different renowned law firms, as law officer in different Banks, like Agriculture Bank, City Bank, Brack Bank etc. Many of our students are working independently as advocates in lower courts. |
Department AchievementThe Department of Law & Human Rights has been awarded the grading of "VERY GOOD" by the "External Peer Review Team" in their scrutiny under the project of "Self Evaluation" facilited by the University Grants Comission of Bangladesh.
