Students of 32nd and 33rd batch, Department of Pharmacy has successfully arranged a study tour in India. We have started our journey in 1st March, 2016 with 57 students and 6 faculty members from Dhaka. We have visited in different states of India and the duration of the journey was 18 days and we have safely reached Dhaka in 19th March, 2016.

Our first destination was Kolkata which is the capital of the Indian state of West Bengal. In Kolkata we visited in Science City which is the largest science centre in the Indian subcontinent. It has been divided into many sections which include Space Odyssey, Dynamotion, Life Science Corners, Ropeway, Musical fountain, Dinosaurs Complex etc. By visiting Science City students were able to explore endless activities and exhibits regarding the field of Science.

We have also visited in Jadavpur University to explore the B.E centre which is the only bioequivalence centre in the eastern region under the Jadavpur University. In the centre students were given a brief lecture about the curriculum of their department which helped students to enrich their pharmaceutical knowledge. The next destination was Agra in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh. Students were taken for sightseeing in Tajmahal and Agra Fort. The Taj Mahal was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for being "The jewel” of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world's heritage. Agra Fort is another of Agra's World Heritage Site. Students have gained knowledge about the mysterious stories that laid in the foundation of these two monuments. Students then extended their journey to the largest city of India, the capital of Rajasthan- Jaipur. Students were taken to visit the tourist attractions like Jal Mahal, City Palace, Amer Fort and Jantar Mantar.

The observatory, Jantar Mantar and Amber Fort are the World Heritage Sites. The City Palace is in the central-northeast part of the Jaipur city, which is laid in a grid pattern with wide avenues. It is a unique and arresting complex of several palaces, pavilions, gardens and temples. To explore the natural beauty of India we took our students to northern India, Jammu and Kashmir. We have visited the famous places of Kashmir, Gulmarg and Sonmarg. Gulmarg's legendary beauty and prime location naturally makes it one of the premier hill station in the country. The last destination of the study tour was New Delhi, the capital of India. Students were taken to the historical places such as Qutub Minar and India Gate. The India Gate is a war memorial located aside the Rajpath, on the eastern edge of the ‘ceremonial axis’ of New Delhi. Qutub Minar is the tallest brick minaret in the world. Qutub Minar, along with the ancient and medieval monuments surrounding it, forms the Qutb Complex, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. India provides hundreds of places known for architecture, scenery, environment, history, development, industry, culture. Through this study tour students have gathered essential insight which can assist them in different perspective. The study tour not only helped the students to enhance their knowledge but also helped them make good connection and bonds with each other.
