Department of Pharmacy, UAP Coordinates Educational Excursion to USTC with a Visit to Cox's Bazar


The Department of Pharmacy at the University of Asia Pacific (UAP) recently organized a study tour for fourth-year second-semester students to the University of Science and Technology Chittagong (USTC) on May 7th, 2024.

The excursion included a group of 71 pharmacy students, accompanied by faculty members including Ms. Ramisa Anjum, lecturer; Mr. Faisal Abdullah Emon, lecturer; Ms. Sauda Sumaya Dina, lecturer; and Mr. Abir Hasan Pranto, lecturer.

During the visit, a welcome meeting was convened by USTC, graced by the presence of the Vice Chancellor, USTC, Professor Dr. Mohammed Solaiman, Mr. Md Abdul Motaleb Bhuiya, Chairman of the Department of Pharmacy, USTC, and Dr. Ranajit Kumar Shaha, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences (FPS), among others. The session commenced with an overview of USTC's history and an introduction to its governing body, administration, laboratories, research activities, and faculty members. Following the meeting, students were given a comprehensive tour of USTC's life science laboratories, during which faculty members demonstrated the functionalities of various equipment with meticulous detail and cordiality towards the visiting UAP students.

The tour of USTC concluded with a gracious farewell from the USTC faculty as the UAP team proceeded to Cox’s Bazar. Upon arrival at ‘Sagor Bilash Resort’, the students settled in for a two-day stay. The following morning, the group went on a sightseeing excursion to Inani Beach through an enjoyable drive on the Cox Bazar marine road. Later that evening, both faculty and students engaged in a cultural program organized by batch 48, actively participating in various festivities. The three-day tour successfully concluded as students and faculty departed for Dhaka on the evening of May 9, 2024.
